Upon your initial meeting with one or all of us instructors at Jeanne’s Flying Service, we will strive to find a good fit for you with an instructor and airplane in which you begin and progress through your pilot training. The three of us instructors have similar but slightly different ways of instructing, yet we all work to give you the best instruction to become a well-trained, safe and responsible Private Pilot.
Your lessons will be “one-on-one” and they will be tailored to your abilities following a “Building Block” method of learning. You will meet all of the requirements of the FAA and will be prepared for the “check ride” that culminates your training with a DPE (Designated Pilot Examiner).
Anyone can learn to fly an airplane, but it requires determination and a commitment to accomplish this goal. We suggest lessons be at least once a week, but twice weekly is better for a more readily progression through your training. It will require study time on your part to arrive prepared for your lesson. And it requires your hard-earned money to cover the cost of the airplane, instructor, study materials and required tests.
Everyone learns differently, but it is our job as flight instructors to help you “learn to fly”. We make a commitment to you, our students, to be prepared, to help you understand and correlate all the information you receive so that you will perform with competence and confidence in the airplane.
