Aircraft Transition and Ferrying
We are happy to be able to offer transition training to customers who have purchased an airplane that is of a new make and model added to their aviation experience. The airplane has the same aerodynamic principles, but it’s the differences that you need to become familiar with and learn to manage. It could be a tailwheel airplane, high performance or a complex airplane that requires you to get additional training. Very often insurance companies will require you to fly with an instructor for a specific amount of hours to grant you insurance coverage.
Sometimes, the purchase will be far enough from your home base that it makes sense to have an instructor fly with you on the return trip to log those required hours while receiving instruction. It is subject to the availability of an instructor.
