I think most of us would agree to see 2020 in our slipstream. And I look forward to 2021 with hopeful optimism.
When I walk into my hangar office, I look over at a sign that was given to me when I began this flight school. It reads “Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off your goal”. All of us have goals in our lives whether they be a New Year’s resolution or a life long goal of “learning to fly”! Obstacles are ever present. The trick is to maneuver around the obstacles just as you would plan your cross country flight through a mountain range to arrive at your destination.
As we approach the flying season, plan your route, circumnavigate the obstacles, and achieve that reachable goal!
Thanks for this! It was definitely needed. I’ve been saving for flight lessons for a while and even discontinued my training because I was going to slow about it with my current income. I’ve been dying to get back over there and fly once again. Unfortunately, due to my only car needing a new transmission I’m kind of back at square one.
I’ve been pretty down about that recently, but I’m not giving up! I’m still trying to save money, being on winter hours makes that a bit hard to do but I am determined! Also, I’ve put in my bid for an AOPA scholarship with the help of Mike and his letter of recommendation!
Anyways, thanks for the encouraging words, they are just what I needed today.
Oh, Nice new website! It’s so nice!

Hi Caylan!
Good to hear from you! Don’t get discouraged! Sometimes our goals take awhile to accomplish. For example, a new student arrived yesterday who began flight training in the 80’s and is now returning to his goal of obtaining a private pilot certificate! Don’t give up because it’s never too late!
Please keep me posted on your AOPA scholarship application and give me a call for an update on your job situation.
Take care and keep in touch!
